Also: god rules
These are the Immortal+ rules/guidelines:
We, as Immortals, are here to insure that our world runs with a minimal
amount of distress and anarchy. To those ends here is a list of rules
and guidelines. Immortals must also obey the normal rules. Type 'help
rules'.
These rules/guidelines may be changed/added to, so check this entry often
review it sometime. Failure to adhere to the rules will result in the
temporary/permanent revocation of your Immortal powers. We reserve the
right to modify these guidelines at any point in time or to render them null
and void. Remember: claiming ignorance is an immediate penalty of level 5
magnitude! Type 'help penalty' for more information.
Be polite to players, don't use freeze, nochannels, etc. without a good
reason and only use them if warning the player doesn't help. Be helpful and
friendly to players (even if they aren't), do not roleplay your Immortal
(e.g. do not roleplay an evil god), be neutral and fair.
=============================================================================
[ 1] Do not kill mortals, do not kill mortals, do not kill mortals.
This includes transferring/summoning them to aggressive mobs.
Do not load dangerous mobs where mortals frequent and/or could die.
In this case the offense will be treated as a level 3 offence!
resulting in the permanent deletion of his/her Immortal character!
[ 2] Do not meddle in the affairs of mortals unless harrassment is going
on. Do not use the 'force' command without a good reason.
A good reason must be approved by a God or higher Immortal.
[ 3] Do NOT cheat for ANY mortal in ANY way, especially your own.
Unless of course you LIKE deletion. Yes this includes tanking,
healing/restoring, casting protection spells <armor, sanct>,
and softening up or altering mobs.
You're allowed to cast a few spells on newbies (level < 10). You're
also allowed to give up to 200 gold coins to newbies (e.g. to buy
pies)
You're not allowed to restring equipment!! This should only be used
as a quest prize.
If you also have mortals that you play, your mortal and your Immortal
character must NOT be online at the same time! Only when you have
quit one character completely from game can you log in as the other.
failure to comply with this rule will see your Immortal character
deleted. The ONLY exception to this rule is for testing purposes,
however, you must obtain the permission of a God or higher Immortal.
You are not allowed to pass out information that only Immortals have
access to. If you are caught doing this, your Immortal character will
be deleted!
[ 4] Do not transfer or summon mobs to mortals or mortals to mobs.
They have legs, if they want to kill a mob, they can easilly
go there themselves.
[ 5] DO NOT kill or move the shopkeepers and healers for any reason at ALL.
Failure to comply with this rule will result in your Immortal sent to
jail for a number of very long days!
[ 6] DO NOT execute a command that will cause the mud to reboot or crash!
If you would like to test code and/or commands, ask permission from an
Eternal (level 80). Only reboot or shutdown if it is really needed!
[ 7] Do NOT hand out equipment to mortals under any circumstances! Unless
a higher Immortal instructs you to do so, then the responsibility of
the action will automatically fall to the higher Immortal who
instructed you to do so. A witness must also be supplied when
transfering responsibility.
[ 8] The restore command must NOT be used on mortals! This command is only
for the private use of the Immortals. Mortals must not be restored,
if they so wish to regain their health or mana, ask them to regenerate
it themselves. You will be jailed or frozen for restoring mortals
without *VERY* good reason and only on approval by a God or higher
Immortal. Remember: You don't need to win brownie points with the
mortals.
[ 9] Quests run on this mud must be approved by higher Immortals and
a submission of the quest and rewards must be forwarded to the
Immortal in charge of quests. Depending on the level of difficulty
of the quest as determined by the quest master, you can hand out
rewards that will suit the level of difficulty of the quest.
Remember: Quests are a good thing, more or less, BUT
do not give out overly extravagant prizes. Exercise some
common sense here folks. Do not load items more than 4 levels
below their normal level (i.e. no level 5 ogre gauntlets).
[10] Always write a message on the note list if you punish a player,
it has to include: why, how, and how long the player is punished.
[11] DO NOT undermine the authority of a higher level god. If you
see that someone has been frozen or nochannelled do not restore
their priveleges. They are being punished for a reason.
[12] DO NOT try to overrule each other.
[13] Trusted mortals: Do not use your god powers to help your mortal
character. If you do, your trust will be taken away i.e. your
Immortal will be deleted, and the mortals that were cheated will be
deleted too (level 3 offence). The rules state that your Immortal
and mortal character may not be online at the same time! This in
effect reduces the chance that you are tempted to cheat your mortal
character with your Immortal powers.
[14] You as Immortals are assumed to *know* all the rules stated within
the 10T help of laws. At any time, if you intentionally break the
rules, you will be deleted! Do not assume that if you Role-play a
mortal character that you can *ignore* the rules on plea of
ignorance. If this so happens, both your Immortal and mortal shall
be deleted period. Intentially ignoring the rules is the utmost
crime and will be punished accordingly.
